Trump Magazine (n?e Trump Style, n?e Trump World)
Three name changes. One closure. Unpaid bills throughout.
The Trump publishing venture began in 1997 as Trump Style, a complimentary magazine distributed to VIP guests at Trump properties -- the print equivalent of a branded mint on a hotel pillow. It subsequently rebranded as Trump World, then Trump Magazine, gradually expanding its ambitions with each name change.
The magazine positioned itself as a luxury lifestyle publication, covering real estate, finance, and the kind of aspirational content associated with the Trump brand. It ran for over a decade across its various incarnations. The 2008 global financial crisis significantly reduced advertising revenue across the magazine industry, and Trump Magazine ceased publication in 2009.
Reports at the time indicated the closure left unpaid bills and staff who had not received final wages. The magazine's arc -- launch, rename, rename again, close owing people money -- is considered a fairly compact summary of the broader Trump brand experience by its critics.

""I have a great magazine. A beautiful magazine.""
-- Trump, at various points during the publication's existence
★ For the record
The magazine was called Trump Style, then Trump World, then Trump Magazine. Each name suggested increasing confidence. The closure suggested the confidence was misplaced.
Refund Policy
N/A -- unpaid bills suggest refunds were not a priority.
