Virginia Giuffre

Survivor / Plaintiff  ·  American  ·  Active — survivor and advocate

Virginia Louise Giuffre (nee Roberts, born August 9, 1983) is a survivor and plaintiff who has played a central role in public legal proceedings related to the Epstein network. She alleges she was recruited by Ghislaine Maxwell at Mar-a-Lago in 1999 at the age of 15 or 16, when she was working as a locker room attendant. She was subsequently brought into Epstein's household and alleges she was trafficked to multiple men over a period of years.

Giuffre has been among the most public accusers in the Epstein case, pursuing civil litigation and speaking publicly about her experiences since the mid-2000s. In 2015 she was named in a court filing that alleged she had been trafficked to Prince Andrew, Alan Dershowitz, and others. Both denied the allegations.

She reached a settlement with Epstein in 2009, with Ghislaine Maxwell in 2014, and with Prince Andrew in February 2022, all for undisclosed sums. Prince Andrew's legal team stated that the settlement included no admission of liability, but the Duke subsequently withdrew from all public royal duties.

Giuffre has been widely credited with maintaining public pressure on Epstein's network over many years and has been recognised for her advocacy work with other survivors.
