Leslie Wexner
Billionaire / L Brands Founder · American · Active — denies wrongdoing
Leslie Herbert Wexner (born September 8, 1937) is an American billionaire businessman and the founder of L Brands, the retail conglomerate that owned Victoria's Secret and Bath and Body Works. He built one of the largest fashion retail empires in American history.
Wexner was, for many years, the only publicly identified client of Jeffrey Epstein's wealth management firm. He granted Epstein extraordinarily broad power of attorney over his finances, properties, and legal affairs for more than a decade. Under this arrangement Epstein acquired the Manhattan townhouse that later became notorious as a centre of his activities; it had originally been Wexner's New York residence, transferred to Epstein in a manner Wexner described as having occurred without his full knowledge.
Wexner has stated that he ended his relationship with Epstein around 2007 upon learning of allegations against him, and described being deeply deceived. In 2019 he stepped down as CEO of L Brands following renewed public scrutiny of his Epstein connection.
No allegations of criminal conduct have been made against Wexner himself. His association with Epstein has nonetheless been the subject of extensive public scrutiny given the breadth of the authority he conferred on him.

Named in 2019 Department of Justice documents as an unindicted co-conspirator. His name appeared in Maxwell's deposition in the 2015 Giuffre v. Maxwell case. Epstein served as his money manager and a trustee of the Wexner Foundation for many years. Wexner granted Epstein power of attorney with unusually broad authority and signed over his Manhattan townhouse (9 East 71st Street) to Epstein for $0. Wexner told an L Brands investor conference in 2019 that Epstein's actions were "abhorrent" and that he had been "taken advantage of."
