Jean-Luc Brunel

Jean-Luc Brunel (1946 -- February 19, 2022) was a French modelling agent and founder of multiple modelling agencies including Karin Models and MC2 Model Management. The latter was partially funded by Jeffrey Epstein. He was known for cultivating networks of young models, primarily in Europe and Latin America.

Brunel's name appeared in multiple victim accounts connected to Epstein's network. He was accused in sworn testimony and civil proceedings of procuring young women and girls for Epstein, using his modelling business as a recruitment mechanism. Multiple alleged victims described being recruited through modelling opportunities that led to encounters with Epstein.

Brunel was arrested in France in December 2020 and charged with rape and sexual assault of minors, and with the trafficking of human beings. He was detained pending trial.

He was found dead in his cell at Paris La Sante prison on February 19, 2022. French authorities ruled his death a suicide by hanging. He died before standing trial.

French authorities charged him with rape of underage girls and rape of adults. He died by suicide in a Paris jail in February 2022 while awaiting trial.
