Bill Richardson

William Blaine Richardson III (1947-2023) was an American Democratic politician who served as Governor of New Mexico, US Ambassador to the United Nations, and Secretary of Energy under President Clinton. He was a prominent figure in Democratic Party politics for several decades.

Richardson's name appeared in Virginia Giuffre's deposition and civil proceedings. She alleged in sworn testimony that she had been directed to provide sexual services to Richardson by Epstein and Maxwell. Richardson denied these allegations in full.

In August 2021, a federal judge ordered that Giuffre's deposition containing references to Richardson and others be made public. Richardson maintained his denials following publication. No criminal charges were brought against him in connection with Epstein's network.

Richardson died in September 2023. His estate continued to deny all allegations.
